War Vets Facing more than just PTSD
It seems that getting home safely after a tour of the battlefield sends you back to your ordinary self in the real world. Studies with veterans are showing that they face more than just Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to battlefield trauma but increased incidence of insomnia which further heightens the effects of the psychological disorder associated with traumatic experiences. Though more psychological than physical, the disorder prevents an individual to return to normal life because of experiences, and it is not just with war veterans, but with anybody who has had a brush with psychological trauma. Sleeplessness leads to irritability heightening the manifestation of PTSD. Ample sleep is vital for a healthy mind and body, trauma being eternal can be dealt with with proper conditioning and treatment so people who suffer are advised to seek professional help.
